Casual Uni Style Essentials for Guys

Casual Uni Style Essentials for Guys

The best thing about uni is that there’s always loads of stuff going on all the time; you’re never going to run out of things to do.

And with so many different events that you could get invited to or decide to attend, you definitely need a stylish, versatile wardrobe. You want to be able to dress casually yet look cool whatever you end up doing, with outfits that take you from classrooms to the student bar effortlessly. A collection of good basics is essential to maintaining the stylish student look while still remaining casual.

T-Shirts for College:

While wearing only T-shirts emblazoned with funny one-liners can be tempting when you’re at university, they can only get you so far. Sure, have a few for those days you’re not going to be going anywhere special, or for the occasions where they’re suitable, but don’t make it a go-to. Make sure that you have a collection of smarter, plain t-shirts too – they’re still casual and comfortable but have a smarter vibe compared to them in comparison, which is essential if you’re trying to make a good impression. Check out these 883 Police t-shirts for men to get your college wardrobe started.

Jeans:

If you get confused by all the different descriptions of a pair of jeans, don’t worry. It’s really not as complicated as it seems once you understand them all. And the main thing is that you’re wearing the right pair of jeans for your shape. When it comes to casual uni wear, a nice pair of jeans can really make your outfit. When you need to look smart casual, or you’ve got an interview to attend, dark blue or black jeans should be your go-to. Lighter jeans are great for casual, everyday lecture wear, but when it comes to being classic and stylish without going over the top, dark jeans always win.

Trainers:

You need to get a pair of trainers that fit in with your look and style. While there are plenty of garish and futuristic looking trainers out there, this doesn’t mean that you should buy them all – unless that’s the kind of style you’re going for. But if your outfits are casual yet refined and classic, you probably won’t find it easy to match them up with fluorescent orange trainers. A pair of white trainers will go with pretty much anything, and they’re a classic casual look if you’re okay with keeping them clean and stain-free. If you’d rather do anything but keep your white trainers white, a navy or black pair of Vans or Converse do the job just as well.

Accessories:

Finally, finish off your casual uni outfit with some nice accessories. You’re going to need a bag that’s big enough to carry around your laptop, books, and notes – a backpack is a great choice, and you can find nice, casual yet stylish options from brands like Vans, Hype or the Herschel Supply Co. A nice wristwatch or smartwatch will complete your look without going overboard.
