Tips For Creating Eye-Catching Content

Tips For Creating Eye-Catching Content

The one thing you can’t help but notice, no matter what kind of business you happen to be in, is that there’s a lot of content out there – too much, some might say, because a good percentage of it probably never gets seen by the people it’s meant to be targeting.

That’s a problem for all kinds of reasons, but it’s especially a problem if you’re trying to be seen yourself – after all, your audience is bombarded with ads, posts, and videos every day, all of which are fighting for their attention. How are you going to make your content stand out in the crowd? There are some things you can do, so keep reading to find out more.

Know Your Audience

It all starts with knowing your audience, so before you create anything at all, ask some questions, one of which should definitely be who are you trying to reach? Knowing your audience’s interests, the challenges they have to face, and what their preferences are is going to help so much, as it’s something that can guide you when it comes to pretty much everything and every decision, from the tone of your writing to the visuals you choose.

For example, if your audience loves bright, dynamic visuals, you’ll need to use plenty of bold colors and sharp, quick editing. However, if they prefer something a little more refined, you can use different techniques to make that happen. Of course, it’s not always easy to get the end result you imagine in your head, which is why commercial video production can come to the rescue, and it’s often the best decision to make right at the start.

Hook Them Quickly

Did you know that you only have about three seconds to actually catch someone’s attention before they scroll away or click on skip video? It’s not a lot, but you can do a lot with it if you’re clever about it, and asking a provocative question, stating a surprising fact, or showing an interesting image might be exactly what’s needed to stop the scrolling and start the engagement.

When you’re thinking about videos, that means really working on your opening shot, and for blogs, it’s all about that first line – it has to be impossible to ignore. In the end, the goal is to make your audience stop, look, and think, and when they do all of that, they’ll want to know more (so make sure you’ve got more to show them).

Tell A Story

Stories stick. It’s true. It could be a heartfelt testimonial, a funny anecdote, an interesting behind-the-scenes look at your business and how things are done, but whatever it is (and the type of audience you’re trying to attract will often help to narrow down your choices), the fact is that when you tell a story you can really tap into people’s emotions, and that’s going to create a connection that should lead to sales, which is what you’ll be wanting at the end of the day.

So, think about the story you want to tell and think especially about how it’s going to end because it’s the ending that’s really going to make a difference and persuade someone to buy from you or get in touch – it’s the thing that’ll stay with them the longest.
