The Biggest Transfer Rumours In World Football Right Now

The Biggest Transfer Rumours In World Football Right Now

In the world of football, there are always transfer rumours flying around.

As the January transfer window edges ever closer, it’s time to look at some of the big rumours everyone’s talking about. Some of these are more likely to happen than others, so feel free to chime in with your own rumours – as well as say which one of these ones you’d like to see the most!

Haaland to…anywhere but Dortmund!

You can’t keep Norwegian superstar Erling Braut Haaland out of the transfer news. These days, he’s rumoured to be in with a shout of joining any of the following clubs: Manchester City, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United or Chelsea. Pretty much, he’s going to end up anywhere but Dortmund – where would you most like him to be?

Mbappe to Real Madrid

This has been a transfer rumour for some time, but it’s gathering heat with PSG signing Lionel Messi in the summer. As fun as it is to see photos of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe together, there’s such a thing as having too much talent. There’s no way that even PSG can find ways of fitting all three of them into a team, along with the likes of Icardi and Di Maria. With his contract running out next summer, it seems like Mbappe will definitely be on the move. Barcelona has also shown some interest, but the young French forward would have to be a fool to join that sinking ship!

Hazard back to Chelsea

Eden Hazard’s time in Madrid has been…shaky, to say the least. He’s never really hit the ground running, and with a lot of Madridistas saying Bale was a flop, what does that make Hazard? To put it into context, you could argue he’s not even the best Hazard in the Belgian team anymore! So, it’s no surprise to hear him linked with a move away, and it seems Chelsea could be the destination for him. He enjoyed successful seasons there, so could a reunion with his old club help the Belgian?

Rice or Phillips to replace Fernandinho at City

Speaking of the Premier League, many reports are suggesting that Manchester City are looking for a long-term Fernandinho replacement. Currently, two of England’s Euro 2020 stars are on the radar; Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips. It’s not known which one they would prefer, though Rice has often been linked with the red side of Manchester too. Either way, it would bring more English blood to the star-studded City team.

Insigne to sign for someone new

Lorenzo Insigne was another star of the European Championships in the summer, helping Italy reach the final and win the whole thing. He’s been a mainstay in the Napoli team for years but is out of contract next year. Manchester United have been linked yet again, but most Italian football experts expect him to join Inter Milan instead.

There you have it; the biggest transfer rumours in world football right now. Which one of these do you hope comes true, and are there any transfers you’d love to see happen in the January window?
