League of Gentlemen review

Leagues Of Gentleman

The League of Gentlemen Live Again at the Hammersmith Apollo 2018.

I have been a massive fan of the TLOG for years now, but sadly the last time they toured I was too young to go and see them perform.

Fast forward 12 years and I have now seen the boys do what they do best which is entertaining their fans! For a show which has been around for 20 years it showed no signs of slowing down or being less enjoyable.

We were treated to the wonderful return of characters such as Pop, Pauline (my favourite character of all time!) & Mickey, Tubbs & Edward and one of my other favorites Les McQueen!!

I think it’s a rare to enjoy a stage version of a television series more, but in this case I do. Mark, Steve & Reece delighted, entertained, made us laugh but most of all gave us all a trip down memory lane to Royston Vassey. Sadly, this time we had to leave as it was the final night of the 47 date tour.

The four creators of The League of Gentlemen are great friends and had been long before the show – this was obvious on stage. It felt like watching 3 mates enjoying themselves.

Will there be another reunion? I personally would find it hard to believe these awesome guys won’t return again at some point as to make a show relevant in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s is no fluke and they clearly enjoy writing and making us fans laugh!

Saturday 29th September will go down as one of the best nights out ever and I met Mark (AKA idol!)

The live DVD is released in November so give it a watch –

Thank you Mark, Steve, Reece & Jeremy for a tour us fans will never forget. I am also now a proud owner of a ‘Pauline Pen’!
