Do you have your own children and want to work around them? As a teacher you will only work during term time, with the occasional day in school during the summer holidays. There are many people who want to be teachers but just aren’t cut out for it. If you already have a background in childcare then going into teaching can be a natural progression. Be aware, teaching involves a lot of paperwork that you might find yourself doing in the evenings or whenever you have free time.

Doctor

There is one career that is great for kind, caring, compassionate people and that’s a doctor. You will be working with many different individuals and families getting to the bottom of various ailments and conditions. You will need to do lots of training and work experience before you become a fully fledged doctor. Hard work and dedication will get you to where you want to be.

Lawyer

If you have always wanted to help people with their problems then how about looking into becoming a lawyer. You will need to have a clean record and be a great, kind, caring person to do well in this career. You could be working with many different people from all walks of life, some may be experiencing the worst time in their life so you need to be understanding and sincere. In order for you to succeed in this industry then you will need to have a list of contacts to assist you, like those that can complete expert court reports for you to help with your caseload.

Nurse

If you don’t want the pressure and extra training of becoming a doctor then you could go on to become a nurse instead. You will still get to help people and be around the doctors in emergency situations. It all depends where you want to be placed, this could either be in the hospital or in a doctor’s surgery. When you do your training you will be able to try many different departments and settings so you don’t need to decide right away.

Paramedic

Lastly, if you want to be on the front line of accidents and emergencies then you may enjoy a career as a paramedic.
