Unleash your inner 007 at Castle Quarter as shopping centre welcomes Si5 Spy Missions

Spy Missions to launch at Castle Quarter

Castle Quarter shopping centre in Norwich is set to welcome yet another new family leisure attraction this month when Si5 Spy Missions opens on Saturday 23rd October.

Si5 Spy Missions is an exciting spy themed action adventure centre for families, friends, colleagues, and children aged six and above. The new Castle Quarter attraction is the first Si5 Spy Missions centre in Norfolk.

Just as Bond fever takes hold, anyone wanting to channel their inner spy can put their super sleuth skills to the test by completing team tasks in this adrenalin fueled game.

Once inside visitors will discover a replica of the Naval battlecruiser Steadfast. Faced with enemy forces, teams work together to complete tasks and achieve their set mission in under one hour.  The aim – to infiltrate the Naval ship and stop a deadly missile being launched, all without getting caught. Along the route, new challenges are presented, as everyone works together to get safely back to base with seconds to spare.

Games are designed to test the mental and physical mettle of each competitor, as well as the ability to work under pressure. Each group of up to 12 people sets off ten minutes apart, making the scenario feel very real. An Si5 guide is on hand to provide assistance along the way.

The creators of Si5 Spy Missions have designed a range of challenges, varying in difficulty and to suit all ages with games for 6 and over, and 13 plus.  Group bookings for children’s’ birthday parties and corporate events can also be made.

Bob Richardson is the founder of Si5 Spy Missions and explains; “The mission we set is written like any good action film, with an intense, secretive start building up to a fast-paced explosive finish! Our guides are there to assist if things get a little tricky, but really, it’s all down to your group to complete the mission and save the day.

“Norwich is our seventh Si5 Spy Missions centre, and we’re really excited to be launching at Castle Quarter.  Lots of our customers throughout the UK get gripped by the challenge and can’t wait to come back and try again.  We change the games regularly, so you’ll never quite know what to expect.”

Rob Bradley is Castle Quarter’s centre manager and adds; “We can’t wait for Si5 Spy Missions to join us at Castle Quarter this October. It means people can visit us for an all-round 007 experience, heading to Vue to watch the latest Bond blockbuster before immersing themselves in a scene straight out of a 007 movie by booking a group game at Si5 Spy Missions. It sounds absolutely exhilarating and we’re thrilled to have Si5 Spy Missions join the centre as we continue to grow our expanding family entertainment offer.”

Bob Richardson first dreamt up the Si5 Spy Missions business 14 years ago, launching the first centre in Cambridge.  And it all started from setting missions for his children at home.

He explains; “When my boys were small, I used to design missions to complete around the house, then we’d go out on missions as family in the countryside over a few days.  I even designed one where they had to take a pilot hostage and steal a plane, all with permission of course! A friend encouraged me to take it one step further and launch a business.  So, in 2007, I gave up kitchen fitting and we opened our first Si5 Spy Missions. And it’s all grown from there.”

Si5 Spy Missions is located next to Pure Gym on the ground floor.  Pre-booking is essential.
