Simple Vacation Ideas for Our First Holiday

Simple Vacation Ideas

It is a good idea to take a holiday at least once a year. If you can do it more frequently, even better.

Most times, our work schedules see us putting effort into our professions for long periods without any form of rest. Vacations come in handy in helping us recharge our energies and thus boost our productivity.

One of the most trivial questions when it comes to vacationing is choosing what to go for to make it a memorable vacation. Some choose to make the method of getting there the special hallmark, taking up Jettly and similar services on their offers. Some, however, can get stuck in this loop of questioning, especially as it becomes even harder considering that the options seem unlimited. Yet, your resources, especially money and time, may hamper your plans.

I have been lucky to go on several vacations throughout my life. Here, I will share some vacationing ideas with you which will help you decide what to do on your next holiday. Depending on your location, some of these may seem more affordable and others expensive.

1. Going to a Coastal Town

For most people, vacationing on a beach is the ultimate relaxation. The main reason is that it offers a chance for you to chill out in the sun while relishing the beautiful scenery of the ocean. This type of vacation is the number one option for most people. The summer period is especially one that sees many people visit coastal towns around the world to enjoy the tropical climate and get away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives.

My first ever vacation, as is the case with most people, was on a beach. I remember I was halfway through college, and I won a tech competition and got tickets to Ibiza. The experience was memorable and, to this date, one of the best vacations ever, a deserved one. The entire vacation included flights on a private jet to and from Ibiza.

2. Try an African Safari

Many people hear of Africa and all the mystery that beholds that beautiful land. You can satisfy this curiosity by doing an African safari as your next vacation. While it may not prove as chilled as the idea of going to the beach, it sure does promise a lot in terms of adventure and reconnecting with nature.

I had a clique of friends on campus with whom we would do several expeditions together. Once, someone brought up the idea of visiting Africa, and in a flash, we were making a budget that would see us visit East Africa. Our main target was to see the Big Five. These are wild animals that rule the savannah; lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and giraffes. We also timed our visit to coincide with the wildebeest migration. I must admit that this is a phenomenon we all need to witness. It rightfully is a wonder of the world.

3. Hike a Mountain

Man’s quest for victory and to conquer himself is never more evident than when scaling a mountain. Many try and fail. You, however, can be among the few that do this successfully. Hiking a mountain is an experience worth your time. From the planning to the actual hike and even camping on a given peak, it teaches you valuable lessons about life.

Hiking is one of my most exciting vacationing activities. I did this with my parents, friends in college, and I continue to do it now with my own family. Each experience feels better than the last one, and the cycle continues. The best thing about hiking vacations is that it’s always easy to find a vacationing spot with one of these.

Planning for what to do on vacation can be a daunting task. However, I am here to tell you that it does not have to be. There are a lot of things you can do to fulfill your urge for adventure and give your body the rest that it needs. The ideas above are a good starting point for anyone looking to plan a vacation soon.
