Honesty Library Launches at Castle Mall

Honesty Library Launches at Castle Mall

This September, Castle Mall shopping centre will be launching a brand new ‘Honesty Library’ in the centre.

The idea is for shoppers to donate their unwanted books to the library in exchange for taking a new one. If shoppers don’t have a book to give they can still take one, but in exchange, the centre is asking for a donation into the honesty box. All monies raised will be donated to Castle Mall’s charities of the year, OPEN Youth Trust and Headway, along with any books that remain in the library, once the event ends.

The library will be located on level 2 near Vision Express. Shoppers can visit anytime during centre opening hours, and donate, take or exchange an unwanted book for a different one, to take home and read. You can donate pre-loved books into the bins located near the library and on level 1 near the main staircase in White Lion Square.

Gemma Hyde, Marketing Manager at Castle Mall shopping centre said “In the digital world that we live in, it is easy to forget the joys of picking up a book to read. We want to remind our shoppers of the simple pleasures that can be found when you switch off, sit down and get lost in a book. Whether you are reading JK Rowling’s latest fantastic adventure or learning about the history of our country, a good book should never be ignored, whatever your age. We hope that shoppers will come and join us in our love of books and donate and take one of the books, as well as donate some pre-loved books to the library.”
