6 Tiny Beach Cottage Plans

Tiny Beach Cottage Plans

Planning for an epic summer holiday? Most people love to go on an island vacation for much-needed relaxation and a taste of carefree living.

Their biggest dream is to have a coastal oasis to call their own.  Whether it is an island retreat, beachfront bungalow, or a tiny beach cottage, a beach vacation home will be on your bucket list.

As you prepare for your classic vacation, you may decide that it is better to rent a condo, house, or cottage than staying in a motel, hotel, or inn. Donegal Thatch Cottages offer great flexibility.

You will enjoy added home amenities such as a living room, fireplaces to gather around, a full chicken, family room, outdoor decks, patios, and private bedrooms. And you can accommodate your friends or family, so it often saves you some money over that Donegal hotel room.

Vacations rentals range from oceanfront mansions to beautiful cottages and camps or condos. You can rent a Donegal Thatch cottage on the seafront/beach on The Wild Atlantic Way. Most vacation rentals are available by the week. However, you can find some cottages to rent nightly or for a weekend. You can even rent cabins and cottages for an entire season.

Imagine staying in a beachfront cottage for the summer on Cruit Island right on the Atlantic Ocean. Besides, you can find a houseboat to rent in the mid-coast of Donegal. Pretty dreamy, especially when you can enjoy all the comforts of home and a view that is out of this world!

We are going to share with you six tiny beach cottage plans, and hoprfully, they will get you started on your preparation for your vacation.

  1. Shoreline Cottage

Shoreline Cottage, which clocks in at 930 square feet, is small but very lovely. The inspiration for this great plan came from one urban family’s desire for a simple house by the sea that captures serene views from every side.

The city-dwelling family from northwest Washington challenged an architect to design an ideal weekend getaway for a site they chose. The criteria included that this retreat should be small, livable, and easy to maintain.

The gabled roof, generous porch and board-and-batten exterior set a traditional tone, while the open interior and tall windows give the home a modern spin. It creates an inviting version of old country cottages and farm cabins.

The main level has a dining room, kitchen, and an open living room. An island visually separates the dining area and kitchen. Other creative design elements such as built-in window seats on two walls in an open living space are ideal for storage and cozy reading spots.

A bath and two bedrooms complete the main level, while a sleeping loft (accessed by a ladder) upstairs provides more storage or accommodations.

  1. Boathouse & Bunkhouse

This little boathouse perched over the water has more charm than any place. With windows on each wall, shuttered windows, wood siding, a metal roof with exposed rafters, this boathouse makes a welcoming waterside cottage or weekend cottage.

At 376 square feet, this tiny structure can be outfitted as an attractive storage space for boats or a tiny cabin retreat. As a bunkhouse-style cottage, space provides cozy comfort to visiting guests and homeowners.

Windows on each wall let in natural light and make small space feel larger. Metal roof with exposed rafter tails, wood siding, and shuttered windows create the look of a boathouse renovated as a welcoming weekend cottage.

  1. Carolina Craftsman

Carolina Craftsman is a cozy cabin and a perfect retreat for weekend vacations or overnight guests. With an open floor plan, outdoor fireplace, and a spacious porch, you may never want to leave this tiny beach cottage Donegal. 1. Beachside Bungalow

This sweet tiny cottage, at 484 square feet, is ideal for an oceanfront retreat for two thanks to its gracious front porch and charming gabled roof. The plan a kitchen with a peninsula and counter space (plus a pantry), living room, and a master bedroom with a bath and an en suite closet.

  1. Beach Bungalow

Beach Bungalow is a 921-square-foot cottage that has it all: a wide-open deck that is ideal for hanging with your family and friends after a day in the sun; a dining room, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bath on the first floor; and a screened porch that opens up to a spacious deck on the back of the cottage. Off the kitchen, a spiral staircase leads to a second floor-sleeping loft here you can access a small balcony.

  1. Brunswick Cottage

Wooden brackets and cedar shingles accent the peaked roofs of this 1,184-square-foot cottage, while great details such as a standing seam metal roof, decorative wood paneling below the windows, and crowning touches and stone chimney.

The heart of Brunswick Cottage is a casual dining area and galley-style kitchen thoughtfully designed as one integrated space. Windows offer views at every turn and let natural light fill the room.
