Novelist Emma Healey to speak to Norwich Writers’ Circle as part of its exciting new programme of events for 2018-19
Norwich Writers’ Circle, a group active in the city since 1943, is pleased to announce the highlights of their recently published programme of talks and workshops starting on Tuesday 18thSeptember.
Meeting in its new home, The Chantry Hall on Chantry Road behind the Assembly House every first and third Tuesday evenings, the group will welcome, amongst others, best-selling novelist Emma Healey, Norwich journalist and biographer Keiron Pim, award-winning author Rory Clements, much-loved East Anglian humourist Lynne Mortimer and the new owner of Poppyland Press, Gareth Davies.
The new programme includes launch evenings and prize-giving events for the annual Olga Sinclair Open Short Story Competition. Phyllida Scrivens, Chairman of Norwich Writers’ Circle says, “With our new venue in the city centre, continuing success with our competitions and support from local writers, we are looking forward to an inspirational year at the Circle. We welcome guests for a modest door fee and hope that many writers will consider joining as a member. Creative writing can be a solitary activity.
