Not one but two National Awards for Norwich Business Improvement District!
It’s great to see that the amazing work being delivered by Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) is recognised at a national level by been shortlisted for two Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) Awards.
Shortlisted in the Digital Engagement category, Norwich BID has stood out for its digital city centre achievements. The BID has implemented and launched free city centre Wi-Fi, supported Droplet – a new, innovative app based payment system – and continues to develop the Discover Norwich app with interesting trail functionality.
Stefan Gurney, Executive Director of Norwich BID is shortlisted for Inspirational Leader of the Year.
Peter Mitchell, Chairman of Norwich BID said, “This is absolutely fantastic news and is a testament to all the hard work the BID team do in making projects a reality for the city. The Discover Norwich app, which is packed full of information and event listings, is a great resource for visitors and locals alike. Stefan is enthusiastic, full of energy and a key driving force in making things happen in the city, without him the BID would not be where it is today. To be shortlisted for these two awards is a great achievement”.
The awards celebrate the amazing achievements of ATCM members and recognises the valuable projects delivered by dedicated professionals to improve high streets, city and town centres.
The awards will be announced and presented at Central Hall, Westminster on Tuesday 8 March.
