G4 are performing at their very best!
On Sunday 5th March my husband and I went to see G4 at the Apex Theatre, Bury St. Edmunds and oh my goodness was it a treat for our ears (and eyes!).
I have been to see G4 multiple times since their reunion a few years back but this was their best show by an absolute mile. The show displayed the depth and diverse band member’s talents through song and humour.
The show started with Oli Nez who is simply the greatest saxophone player I have ever heard in my life. He played lots of classics and there was a bit of audience participation which was fun!
We were then treated to the G4 Love Songs Album live! Classics such as Your Song, Love Me for a Reason & I’d Do Anything for Love. The latter being a duet with the Chinese Winner of the X Factor Mary-Jess who was brilliant. The band also sang Can’t Help Falling in Love but without any music and this really showed the amount of talent and depth they have as a group and brought a tear to my eyes.
A G4 concert would not be complete if they did not do their famous cover of Queen’s hit Bohemian Rhapsody and it’s safe to say the audience absolutely loved it! There was a lot of singing & clapping going on! And then they ended the show on my favourite song You’re the Voice which was outstanding.
To sum up if you have ever considered going to see G4 sing but not quite made it to a concert now is your chance. This is a band in its absolute prime. You will not be disappointed. I have now booked to see them in Kings Lynn in September before seeing them in November in Norwich.
Go on what are you waiting for? There are lots of dates in March, September & November.
